![]() Female students who attend the Crystal Palace Development Centre at the Priory School, Orpington, have been running a coaching program at nine local primary schools. Since the beginning of the spring term, the coaches have been going to the schools to show the girls that football is not just for the boys and providing free coaching. On the afternoon it was Warren Road School who lifted this Cup in its first year of existence. Teri Gibbs, PE Coordinator at Warren Road, said: "It has been a fantastic scheme and one we were proud to be part of. Our girls had so much fun, improved their football skills and fitness as well as demonstrating increased confidence. We have been so pleased with the coaching that we have asked the coaches to stay on permanently. We are all looking forward to being involved next year." The next step for the development of girls' football in the area is the provision of football training at the Priory School. For further information please contact Clare Lendore on (01689) 819219.
