England Internationals Jess Clarke and Sophie Bradley have signed contracts with Lincoln Ladies FC to join the squad that will play in the inaugural FA Women's Super League.
Clarke, a 21-year-old winger, capped a great performance by scoring with a header in England's 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Turkey at Walsall last week. She is a product of Leeds' youth system, with 17 full England caps and five international goals.
Sophie Bradley is an FA Centre graduate. The 20-year-old former Leeds Carnegie and Nottingham Forest central defender has captained England at Under-19 level and had a successful stint in the Under-23 team before joining the full England squad. The Leeds Carnegie captain was the mainstay of the best defence in last season's Women's Premiership
Lincoln manager Rod Wilson said: "We're delighted to have secured these two valuable players - Jess is a very quick and tricky right winger who I have watched develop over the last six years and Sophie is an extremely dependable defender.
"They represent the first of a number of important signings we'll be making as we prepare for the March launch of the FA Super League."
