Celtic have gone three points clear at the top of the Scottish Women's Premier League after running out 8-1 winners over Inverness. With Glasgow City involved in the UEFA Women's Champions League, the Hoops took the opportunity to replace them as leaders thanks to hat-tricks from Suzanne Grant and Joanne Love, with Stacey Cook and Mairead Fulton adding the others. Hibernian hold on to third place after a 2-0 victory over Forfar Farmington, goals coming from Suzanne Robertson and Claire Emslie. Hamilton Academicals bounced back from their midweek defeat by Celtic to win 6-1 away to FC Kilmarnock, a result which takes them into fourth. Sam McManus bagged a four-goal haul to spearhead the victory and she was joined on the scoresheet by Natasha Anderson and Sarah Crilly, while Kirsty Munro netted Kilmarnock's consolation. Spartans returned to winning ways with a 3-0 success against Aberdeen, who remain at the foot of the table. Sarah Ewens gave the Edinburgh side the lead midway through the first half and Diana Barry wrapped up the points with a goal either side of half time. Boroughmuir Thistle and Rangers battled out a 1-1 draw, Kirsty McLaughlin finding the net for Boroughmuir with Rangers replying through Jayne Sommerville.
