![]() Both sides plan to co-operate on a wide variety of player and coach development initiatives. TyneMet College Sports Coordinator Mark McCutcheon said: "We are delighted that the North East Sports Academy at TyneMet College has forged a new partnership with Newcastle United Women's FC. "This agreement will help us to raise awareness of Women's Football at the College and get as many girls as possible access to football opportunities, be it recreationally or at a more advanced level. We certainly would like to see more College players progress into the Newcastle United Women's squad and follow in the footsteps of Natalie Henderson and Claire Pitt. "In particular we are pleased to have secured the services of Amber Whiteley, who is one of Newcastle United Women's more established first team players. Amber will be coaching TyneMet's current women's squad and we are sure Amber will be influential in developing Women's football at the College over the coming year. " Phil Eadon, Chairman of Newcastle United Women's Football Club, added: "This is a great opportunity for both organisations to work together to further the development of girls and women's football in Newcastle and its surrounding area. Support from organisations such as TyneMet College is a valuable addition to not only the club but also to the overall development and success of womens football in the region. We look forward to developing a successful and long association with the College."
