 Wales Under-19 drew 1-1 with Portugal in the second of two friendly international matches.In a fairly evenly matched game, a penalty after twenty minutes saw Portugal take the lead. The teams fought hard, both hitting a post, but no further goals were forthcoming until injury time when a long range shot from Wales captain Jasmin Dutton was fumbled in by Portuguese goalkeeper Patricia Morais. Everton goalkeeper Katy Maddock and Sophie Cole of Trefelin both gained thir first caps at Under-19 level. A win and a draw stands Wales in good stead to travel to Slovenia next month for the First Qualifying Round of the the 2010-11 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championships.
