East Midlands League
Friar Lane & Epworth served notice that they are likely to be among the main contenders for the Premier Division once again after they scored eight without reply against newly promoted Retford Utd. Loughborough Foxes also started well with a 4-1 victory over Shepshed Dynamo. The other promoted side, Long Eaton Utd began by winning 4-2 away to Gedling Town and Sandiacre Town defeated Peterborough Azure by the same scoreline.

Grimsby Town have started strongly in Division One North, taking the opening day honours with a 7-0 victory over Arnold Town. OOH Lincoln Development beat Sparta Nottingham 2-1 whilst Steel City Wanderers came away from Market Warsop with a 2-1 win courtesy of Laurie Maris and Samantha Hallam.

Two matches were played in Division One South, Kingsthorpe sitting as leaders after they won 4-2 against Raunds Town. The other game between Barrowby and Sleaford Town finished in a 2-2 draw.

Eastern Region League
Barking are setting the pace in the Premier Division after Hayley Piggott and Liane Prior gave them a
2-1 victory over Kettering Town. They lead by two points from three clubs, headed by Stevenage Borough who defeated Haringey Borough 4-0 thanks to doubles from Josie North and Hayley Kemp. Sophia Pidgeon and Michelle Whitehead were on target for third placed Arlesey Town as they drew 2-2 with Hethersett Athletic, who replied through Emma Mulley and Luci Middleton. Brentwood Town recorded their first victory of the season, Nikita Whinnett hitting a hat-trick and Lucy Faraday the other in their 4-0 success at Peterborough. Lauren Prior and Zara Carroll netted the goals as Bedford Ladies defeated Woodbridge Town 2-0.

The biggest winners on the opening day in Division One North were Whitton Utd who stormed to a 5-0 victory at Taverham, Jenna Liverpool having a great day as she bagged all five goals. Kayleigh Harwood netted a hat-trick and Rachel Gwilliam the other as Ipswich Wanderers won 4-1 against Haverhill Rovers and Fakenham edged out Thorpe Utd by the odd goal in seven thanks to doubles from Shelly Woods and Nicola Bray. Sophie Hopkin (2) and an own goal earned Cambridge Women Res a 3-2 success at Norwich City Res and Cambridge Rangers also won 3-2 over Huntingdon Town.

In Division One South, Billericay Town swept to the top of the fledgling table by scoring six without reply past Hoddesdon Owls. Laura Wheeler and Lisa Silverton each scored twice, with one apiece from Nicola Dunsdon and Lisa Robins. Jenny Probert (2) and Emma Chaffey were on target as Royston Town won 3-1 away to Sawbridgeworth Town. London & South East League
Denham Utd continue to lead the way in the Premier Division following a 2-1 victory over Chichester City Utd kept them ahead of Panthers on goal difference. Tooting & Mitcham Utd and Crawley Wasps occupy the next two places after the sides shared a 1-1 draw, just ahead of Maidstone Town who won for the first time, 3-2 at AFC Wimbledon. Littlehampton Town opened up their season by running out 5-0 winners over Wandgas and Westfield came away from Boreham Wood with a 4-2 victory.

North East League
Last season's League Cup competition was abandoned to allow the backlog of league fixtures to be cleared, so Sheffield Utd Community's defence of the trophy they lifted in May 2009 remained incomplete. What better way to resume than a home tie against rivals Sheffield Utd Junior Blades. Cheryl Mawhood opened for Community inside three minutes and when Tania Marsden made it two from a penalty on the hour it looked all over, especially as Community had dominated the first half and could have gone in three or four goals to the good. However, Junior Blades quickly pulled one back with skipper Lucy Foreman scoring from a free kick wide out on the left and they dominated the last quarter, being unlucky not to level, an injury time shot from Jade Rabjohn hitting a post. Zoe Beresford settled matters by making it 3-1.

South West League
Marine Academy (formerly Saltash Utd) are the opening day leaders in the Premier Division after they ran out 5-0 winners away to Chippenham Town. Louise Chaves, Corinne Potts, Stacey Arthur, Steph Warren all netted once along with an own goal. Bristol Ladies Union ended last season in great form and they have picked up from there, winning 3-1 at Cheltenham Town to sit jointly in second place with Frome Town whose 3-1 success came at the expense of Taunton Town. On target for Frome were Alison Hudd, Tara Taylor and Cassie Powell. Newly promoted Falmouth Town were edged out 2-1 by Weymouth, for whom Emma Acott and Rosie Sharpe scored, whilst Oldland Abbotonians and Stoke Lane Athletic shared four goals. Beth Dale and Jess Cole netted for Oldland, with Stoke Lane replying through Jess Morgan and Lucy Sparkes.

Swindon Supermarine made a storming start to the new campaign, scoring ten without reply against Nailsea Utd to claim the Eastern Division One leadership. Val Martin led the scoring with a five-goal haul, with one each from Mel Bristow, Michelle Rich, Caley Smith, Robyn Levett and Georgia Leonard. Salisbury City defeated Bishop's Lydeard 7-0 and Swindon Spitfires won by the same scoreline over Downend Flyers, Tamara Papp hitting a hat-trick with doubles from Emma Skinner and Vicky Wilkes. Cleeve West Town opened up by winning 4-3 away to Winscombe thanks to a goal apiece from Lizzie Barratt, Natasha Hale, Karen Manson and Anneka Hawkins.

In Western Division One, Plymouth Argyle Res took the honours as they won 4-0 at Bude Town. The division's two newcomers met each other and it was Exeter City who emerged as 3-1 victors over Charlestown. Marjons Old Suttonians edged out Launceston 3-2 and the game between Roche and Torpoint Athletic finished level at 2-2.

Southern Region League
Last season's runners-up Maidenhead Utd have started strongly this time around, running out 9-0 winners against Reading Town. Shanklin take second place after beating Aldershot Town 4-0 and Bracknell Town were 4-2 victors at Oxford Utd. Woodley Saints opened up well in their first match following promotion, they defeated Beaconsfield SYCOB 2-0 and Wycombe Wanderers notched up a 3-2 success at Launton.

Southampton Women inflicted a huge defeat on Reading Ladies which sees them sit on top of the Division One table, with Henley Town in second place after their 6-0 defeat of Boscombe Albion. Andover New Street got off to a good start with a 2-0 win away to Southampton Saints Res. Chesham Utd Res and Newbury Ladies & Girls shared the points as they battled out a 3-3 draw.
