Former winners Hibernian made it through to the quarter finals of the Unite Scottish Cup after beating Spartans 3-1 in the tie of the round. Rhonda Jones put Hibs in front with a strike on the half hour to give them a lead which they took into the interval. Debbie McWhinnie then struck twice after the break to put her side in control before Claire Crosbie grabbed a late consolation for Spartans. It was not such a good day for Hibernian 2000 though as they went out of the competition, going down 1-0 at home to Inverness. Celtic still have two teams remaining in the last eight, their first team were handed a bye against Dundee Utd SC whilst the reserves stormed to a 5-0 victory over Premier League opponents Aberdeen. Glasgow City maintained their defence of the trophy by running out 11-1 winners against their reserve side. The reserves did take a surprise lead through Laura Crossan but the first team hit back strongly to claim victory with Jane Ross and Katharina Lindner both bagging hat-tricks. Lisa Evans weighed in with a double and there was one apiece from Eilish McSorley, Ruesha Littlejohn and Leanne Ross. Hamilton Academicals progressed after winning 4-0 away to Cowdenbeath as did Hearts, who beat Dee Vale 6-3 after extra time.
