Brentwood Town manager Ian Bent is calling on residents of the area to come and cheer on their local female football team as his club prepare to throw open the doors to their new home at the Society of Old Brentwoods for the first time on Sunday 19th September.
The Blues host Kettering Town in the Premier Division of the Eastern Region League at the weekend and Bent would like to welcome football fans in the town to the Ashwells Road venue. "I would like to personally invite everyone from the local area to come down and support your local ladies team this Sunday afternoon and help us make the place feel like home as well as experiencing a great family afternoon out in the process," he said.
After claiming victory in their last four successive fixtures, Brentwood top the Premier Division table going into the match against the Poppies, who were promoted as Champions from Division One North in 2009-10.
"Everyone is looking forward to playing our first game in the wonderful surroundings and facilities at the Society of Old Brentwoods," added Bent. "Ashwells Road looks like a great place to play football and we go there in great confidence after a positive start to the season."
As well as two excellently maintained playing surfaces, the Society also boasts a magnificent Clubhouse, which the club will be utilising on Friday 8th October when they stage a Quiz Night to help raise funds for a new home kit.
"I would like to thank everyone at the Society of Old Brentwoods for their support and assistance with the move and everyone at BTLFC hopes this is the start of a great friendship between us," Bent continued.
Brentwood Town v Kettering Town kicks off at 2.30pm on Sunday 19th September at the Society of Old Brentwoods, Ashwells Road, Bentley, Brentwood, CM15 9SE. Admission, as ever, is free and refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.
