England Under-17 got their UEFA Under-17 Championship qualifying campaign off to a winning start on Sunday evening with a 2-0 victory over Turkey.
Lucy Gunton-Jones gave them the lead after 27 minutes and Paige Williams added a second ahead of the break to secure the points for Lois Fidler's side, who sit in second place in their group behind hosts Belgium who beat Armenia 7-0 in the other game.
England play their next game against Armenia on Tuesday before their final group game against Belgium on Friday.
England Under-17: Jasmine Elliot, Jade Bailey (sub Aoife Mannion 65mins), Paige Williams, Bianca Bragg (sub Melissa Lawley 55mins), Meaghan Sargeant, Leah Galton, Lucy Gunton-Jones, Sherry McCue, Bethany Mead, Anna Young (sub Lauren Haynes 75mins), Katie Wilkinson. Subs not used: Megan Walsh, Taylor O'Leary, Beth Merrick, Holly Crosby.
