West Ham Utd reclaimed the leadership of the Southern Division with a 2-0 win against Gillingham.
The Hammers took the lead midway through the first half via an Emma Thomas free kick which deflected in off Gillingham's Sarah Jones and they added the second shortly before half time with a powerful header by Stacey Little.
The other two London clubs in the division met in the other game to be played and honours were even as Queen's Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic battled out a goalless draw. Danielle Gibbons came closest to breaking the deadlock in Charlton's favour late on as she struck the bar but the point is an important one for Rangers as they seek to climb off the bottom, whilst Charlton are up into fifth place.
