Wales 2 (Fishlock 24,61) Chile 1 (Zamora 72)
Wales clinched top spot in Group C in the Algarve Cup after they defeated Chile 2-1 in their final group match.
Jarmo Matikainen's side now have a plum final match against China after a double from Jessica Fishlock earned them victory whilst Portugal drew 1-1 with Romania.
Wales started the match with an unchanged side from that which had beaten Romania but found themselves under pressure early on and goalkeeper Rhian Nokes needed to pull off a good save from a free kick. However they weathered the early storm and opened the scoring when Fishlock netted in the 24th minute.
The second half saw Chile come out fighting but Wales doubled their lead on the hour mark as Fishlock broke through on goal and scored her second. As both teams tired, Chile began to look the more dangerous and got themselves back in the game as Daniela Zamora pulled a goal back.
Wales gave a second half debut to Laura-May Walkley of Swansea City as they hung on to their lead and recorded their second successive win.
Wales: Rhian Nokes, Sally Wade, Sophie Ingle, Emma Jones, Kerrie Manley, Katie Daley (sub Nia Jones 90mins), Loren Dykes, Michelle Green, Helen Lander (sub Laura-May Walkley 85mins), Gwennan Harries, Jessica Fishlock.
