Watford secured their National Division status as an injury time equaliser earned them a 1-1 draw against runners-up Nottingham Forest.
The Golden Girls went into the game needing a point to survive relegation and next week's clash between Barnet and Blackburn Rovers will decide which team goes down along with Millwall Lionesses.
Jemma Connor-Iommi forced a good save from Watford goalkeeper Chloe Crook, whilst at the other end Sarah Wiltshire was denied by Claire Wallhead. It was Forest who took the lead though shortly before half time when Andi Bell slotted the ball into an empty net after Crook failed to clear a long ball.
After the break, Forest continued to threaten a second goal whilst Wiltshire was a constant threat at the other end. It looked as though Forest were going to see the game out and give Watford an anxious seven days but, as the match went into injury time, a Holly Miles free kick was not dealt with by the Forest defence and Sahara Osbourne-Ricketts was on hand to slot home an equaliser which confirmed a deliriously happy Watford side's survival.
