Leicester City Women won the Leicestershire & Rutland County Cup for the sixth year running with a 6-1 victory against their local rivals Leicester City Ladies in the Final.
City Women went ahead after only two minutes of play when Natalie Reay fired home from 20 yards from a through ball by Zira Handley. The Ladies were level on 12 minutes when Jodie White headed home.
The Foxes restored their lead four minutes later as Courtney Sweetman-Kirk slotted home after good work by captain Chloe Jones, then Katie Lowder hit a 25-yard drive for the third just before the interval.
Jones made it four with a curling shot from 15 yards in the 62nd minute, then a fine sweeping move involving Natasha Meade and Sweetman-Kirk let Vicky Gallagher in to hit home in 84th minute.
Sweetman-Kirk completed the scoring as she added her second, three minutes from time, after good work by Leanne Morley to round off a polished performance by the City Women side.
