 Women's Football News 9 Jun 2011

Quinton takes charge of Fleet - 9 Jun 2011 - Women's Football NewsEbbsfleet United are delighted to announce that Quinton Naidoo will be their new First Team manager for the coming season.

Quinton will start working with the ladies from the first week of July, when pre-season training begins. Ebbsfleet will ontinue to play in the South East Combination after securing their league status last season.

The new season begins on Sunday 14th August, so the work has already begun and Quinton is looking forward to the challenges ahead. Club spokesperson Tina Martin states: "We are delighted to have secured Quinton as the ladies team manager this coming season and are looking forward to working with him. He has the knowledge and experience within the women's game to really help the club move forward."

Quinton's managerial career started at Dover Ladies and in the following season he took charge of Sittingbourne-based side UKP Ladies, where he gained promotion in his first season in charge from the South East Counties League.

The success from UKP led to Naidoo being given a shot in the Premier League where he took charge of Crystal Palace, where he went on to spend six years and guided the club to its highest league finish, reached the Fourth Round of the FA Women's Cup and also led the club to two County Finals where his Palace side were beaten on both occasions by National Division side Chelsea.

Quinton says: "I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work at Ebsfleet, their rise in women's football has been extremely impressive over the last 5 to 6 years. Despite finishing in the bottom half of the table last season, I believe the squad is full of quality players, with addition of some new faces and a booming development squad I personally feel that this club has the potential to reach the national league."
