Champions lead at break
 Women's Football News 27 Jun 2011
Glasgow City will head into the Scottish Women's Premier League's mid-season break with a lead of six points following a midweek 4-0 victory over Hamilton Academicals.
Lisa Evans netted twice, with Leanne Ross and Jane Ross adding the others to ensure that the reigning Champions doubled their advantage over second placed Hibernian.
Forfar Farmington continue to have a good season and they sit in third place at the break following their 2-0 win away to Inverness City, thanks to goals from Caroline Heron and Rachael Small.
Spartans leapfrogged Celtic into fourth place by defeating them 6-4 in a high scoring affair. Sarah Ewens bagged a hat-trick for Spartans whose other goals came from Diana Barry, Kirsty McLaughlin and Louise Magilton while Celtic replied through Susan Fairlie, Fiona Brown, Megan Sneddon and Suzanne Grant.
Rangers got back to winning ways, Jennifer Callaghan scoring a hat-trick as they won 3-1 away to Hutchison Vale. Kat Smart netted a consolation goal for the home side.
The two teams at the foot of the table met each other in a crucial clash and it was Kilmarnock who emerged as 2-0 winners courtesy of a double from Kirsty Munro.
