England have climbed to a highest ever position of sixth in the FIFA Women's World Rankings in the new list published today.
The top four remain unaltered with the United States staying ahead of Germany and Brazil whilst World Cup winners Japan are still in fourth place. England have beaten both the USA and Japan, plus fifth placed Sweden, since the last rankings list in March.
Australia's good World Cup performance lifts them into the top ten with Korea DPR making way.
Scotland hold steady in 23rd place, sandwiched between England's other two World Cup group opponents Mexico and New Zealand. There is no movement for Wales either as they stay 47th but Northern Ireland have slipped back a place to 64th.
The next FIFA world rankings list will be published in September.
