Yeovil Town came from a goal behind to beat United States touring side Whitman College 3-1 in a friendly match at the Alvington Training Ground.
In a well contested and committed first half, it was Whitman College who went into the break with a one-goal lead given to them on twelve minutes when Jaclyn Rudd scored from the penalty spot.
Yeovil continued to press and got themselves back on level terms ten minutes after the restart when Terri Trowbridge headed home from a Jodi Cornwall corner.
It took another nine minutes for the Glovers to go in front for the first time, Rachel Edwards' pass being flicked on by Justine Lorton for Cornwall to burst through and finish well.
After withstanding a period of pressure from Whitman, Yeovil made sure of their victory in the dying minutes as Dawna Dennett broke down the right and crossed for Lorton to volley home the third.
The result acted as perfect preparation for Yeovil who begin their quest to win promotion back to the Premier League with their first South West Combination match against newly promoted Keynsham Town Development on 4th September.
