With Glasgow City on UEFA Women's Champions League duty, Hibernian took the opportunity to narrow the gap at the top of the Scottish Women's Premier League to three points with a 6-0 win away to Hutchison Vale.
Hayley Cunningham scored twice with Laura Kennedy, Caroline Weir, Rebecca Dempster and Leanne Crichton adding the others to keep Hibs' title challenge on course.
Forfar Farmington held on to third place, courtesy of a 2-1 success at Kilmarnock. Rachael Small netted both goals for Forfar, with Nicola Goudie grabbing a consolation for the home side.
Spartans notched up one of their biggest victories of the season, 7-2 away to Rangers. Sarah Ewens gave Spartans the lead with Jennifer Callaghan equalising from the penalty spot but Ewens put Spartans back in front just before the break. Claire Crosbie and Kirsty McLaughlin sent the Edinburgh side further ahead after the restart and, despite Alana Marshall reducing the arrears for Rangers, McLaughlin went on to complete her hat-trick with two outstanding strikes and substitute Louise Mason also found the net to give Spartans an emphatic win.
Celtic kept up their winning run as Gillian Sloey, Julie Ferguson and Laura Pilkington gave them a 3-1 victory over Inverness, whose consolation came from Natalie Bodium.
Hamilton Academicals made it a clean sweep of away wins on the day as they defeated Falkirk 4-1. Nicky Grant spearheaded the victory with a hat-trick and Susan Fairlie was also on target, with Emma Lyons netting for Falkirk.
