Leeds raring to go!
 Women's Football News 18 Aug 2011
Leeds United get their league campaign underway when they host Watford at Throstle Nest, Farsley AFC on Sunday.
Leeds will be buoyed by an undefeated pre-season campaign, which featured all of the club's recent signings; Vanessa Holmes (nee Leat) and Emma Johnson from Blackburn Rovers, Sarah Danby from Manchester City, Amy Turner from Doncaster and Billie Murphy from Arsenal.
"Over the summer we welcomed five new players," said new Leeds manager Chris Welburn, "and I've been pleased with the way they've blended in with the existing squad of players.
"They bring a mixture of youth and experience with them, and I certainly believe we've strengthened the squad for the coming season.
"We've been working hard over the summer to get those first three points on the board, and we're all eager for the new season to start."
