East Midlands League
Mansfield Town kept up their good start to the season and are one point clear at the top of the Premier Division following their 6-0 victory over Barlestone St Giles. Rebecca Braithwaite was on target twice along with Catherine Davie, Hannah Bodle and Katy Siddall. Peterborough Northern Star defeated Market Warsop 4-0 to move into second place, just ahead of Daventry Town who were 3-2 winners against Long Eaton Utd.
In Division One North, Retford Utd opened up their campaign with a convincing 9-3 victory away to Appleby Froddingham which included a six-goal haul from Hayley Revill. Lydia White, Tammy Hessey and Cassie Ellis added the other goals. Stevie Gough scored the only goal of the game for Rolls Royce Leisure in their 1-0 win over Grimsby Town.
Krysia Ellis netted twice, with Nicola Butt and Charlotte Worth adding the others as Ilkeston Town won 4-0 at Ruddington Village to keep the leadership of Division One South. AFC Trinity defeated Leicester City Fosse 5-2 thanks to doubles from Hayley Gallacchi and Natasha Folwell, with Amy Dolan also on the scoresheet, and they are in second whilst Raunds Town complete a trio of teams on six points after goals from Eloise Clow (2) and Georgina Powell.
Eastern Region League
Bedford Ladies assumed the early leadership of the Premier Division following a 3-1 win away to Barking, courtesy of a Natasha Fensome hat-trick. Claire Knibbs was on target four times as Peterborough ran out 8-3 winners over Thorpe Utd. Lorina Dighton weighed in with a double and the scoring was completed by Donna Nicholls and Sarah Jones. Arlesey Town meanwhile inflicted a first defeat of the season on Billericay Town, Sarah Tayler netting the only goal of the game, and Stevenage Borough also beat Woodbridge Town 1-0 via a Dominique Godbeer goal. Hethersett Athletic and Braintree Town each claimed their first point when sharing a 2-2 draw. Megan Todd and Emma Mulley netted for Hethersett with Braintree replying through Toni-Anne Wayne and Beth Irwin.
Great Shelford notched up their second emphatic victory in a row in Division One North, scoring eight without reply past Brandon Ladies. Becky Taylor bagged a hat-trick with Sarah Gee and Sophie Lanham adding doubles, Shavaun Barnum was also on target. Norwich City Res join them on six points after beating Taverham 6-0, Melissa Rudd hitting a double along with Luci Middleton, Francesca Lambert, Nicole Sheldrake and an own goal. Haverhill Rovers are in third following their goalless draw with Fakenham Town, just ahead of Ipswich Wanderers who won 2-1 at Bungay Town thanks to Claire Ellis and Tarnya McKew. Melanie Findlater, Emma Jenkins and Hollie Hunt were on the scoresheet as Cambridge Women Res won for the first time, 3-0 away to Huntingdon Town.
Chelmsford City sit in top spot in Division One South after beating Hoddesdon Owls 9-0. Emma Ridings bagged a hat-trick along with Zoe Strong (2), Georgia Wheate, Jasmine Wheeler, Kim Jeffery and Emma Wells. Layla Little netted twice, with Grace Clark and Kierra Gabriel adding the others as Hannakins defeated Haringey Borough 4-1 to go into second just in front of Sawbridgeworth Town, who were 3-2 winners over Leverstock Green thanks to Hayley King's double and Jackie Stott. Michelle Smith netted all four goals for Baldock Town as they won for the first time, 4-2 against Royston Town, whilst East Thurrock Utd and Hutton shared a 1-1 draw with strikes from Kealey Farley and Nicole Farmer respectively.
London & South East League
Panthers have leapt to the top of the Premier Division after scoring six without reply against Boreham Wood. they lead on goal difference from Hemel Hempstead who kept up their good start to the new season by beating East Preston 4-1. After a very tight opening day, Sunday yielded a huge total of 42 goals in the six matches played, six of which were shared between Crawley Wasps and Eastbourne Town to send them into the next two places. Denham Utd bounced back from their opening day defeat to put nine past Wandgas and Chichester City also went goal crazy, defeating AFC Wimbledon 8-1. Westfield completed a high scoring day by running out 6-1 winners away to Maidstone Town.
North East League
Whitley Bay swept into the next round of the League Cup with an 11-1 victory over St Francis 2000. Jo Suddes led the scoring with a hat-trick, Rachel Kay and Laura Darmody weighed in with doubles and there was one apiece from Steph O'Brien, Steph Ord, Amy O'Brien and Kirsty Hunter. Holly Findlay hit a hat-trick along with Rebecca Fevers (2), Laura Elford (2) and Jess Moran as Barnsley netted eight without reply against Wakefield Res but there was a shock for York City as they were beaten by Northern Division side Birtley Phoenix. Castleford White Rose notched up an impressive 3-1 win over Hessle Town and Peterlee Town were also 3-1 winners at Tynedale, whilst Guiseley were given a scare by Ossett Albion before emerging as 4-3 victors. Birtley Town defeated Lumley 5-1 and Brandon Utd came away from Norton & Stockton Ancients with a 3-2 victory. Lepton Highlanders progressed via a
2-0 success against Rothwell Town and Wetherby Athletic edged out AFC Preston by the odd goal in nine.
South West League
Larkhall Athletic continue to stretch the early pace in the Premier Division after winning 4-0 at Stoke Lane Athletic, courtesy of Anna Walby, Kate German, Toni Hemmings and an own goal. Exeter City head the chasing teams after scoring eight without reply against Frome Town and two other teams also have maximum points from two games. Lola Sanchez netted a treble along with Helen Kukor (2), Kirsty Caunter, Natalie Shenton and Hannah Cox. Nicky Barnes bagged a hat-trick as Salisbury City claimed a 3-1 win at Cheltenham Town and Marine Academy (Plymouth) defeated Bristol Ladies Union 4-3 thanks to a Corinne Potts hat-trick and Steph Warren.
Forest Green Rovers Res continue to set the early pace in Eastern Division One following their 8-0 victory over Swindon Supermarine in which Katie Cook and Charley Cooney each hit hat-tricks, with Charlotte King and Abbie Sadler also on target. Downend Flyers remain level on points in second place, thanks to a 3-2 win against Cam Bulldogs courtesy of a Kate Michaels hat-trick. Cirencester Town won 3-0 at Swindon Spitfires to go third, just ahead of Poole Town who beat Dorset rivals Blandford Utd 2-0 with goals from Hannah Martin and Kerry Valet. Bridgwater Town, for whom Vicky Tindall scored, and Bishop's Lydeard battled out a 1-1 draw while Karen Manson and Lizzie Barratt were on target as Cleeve West Town defeated Nailsea Utd 2-1.
Falmouth Town are continuing their glut of goals at the top of Western Division One. On Sunday, they scored thirteen without reply at Dobwalls and followed this up in midweek by beating Roche 9-2. Bude Town recorded victories over Morley Rangers (4-0) and Callington Town (8-2) to remain in second, just in front of Launceston who beat Callington 3-0 on Sunday and Morley 1-0 in midweek and they are yet to concede a goal. Charlestown had a good week, firstly defeating Taunton Town 6-1 and then winning 2-0 against Dobwalls, whilst Stoke Gabriel belatedly began their campaign with a 6-2 victory over Roche.
