Coventry City sit on top of the National Division for the first time following their 2-0 win away to Aston Villa. 
Villa had gone into the game sporting an unbeaten record but found themselves behind after five minutes when Courtney Sweetman-Kirk put the Sky Blues in front. Maz Gauntlett clinched the points for Coventry ten minutes into the second half with her fifth goal of the season.
Sunderland and Charlton Athletic fought out a 2-2 draw with leaves both teams five points off the pace. Kim Dixson converted a cross from Fliss Gibbons to give Charlton the lead with Kelly McDougall equalising on the stroke of half time from the penalty spot. Charlton went back in front nine minutes into the second half when Gemma Bryan scored but Sunderland hit back once more to earn a point through Sophie Williams.
