Sheffield FC continue to lead the way in the Northern Division after they defeated Blackburn Rovers 2-0.
Leading scorer Jodie Michalska gave them the lead ten minutes before half time and Lisa Giampalma sewed up the win during the second half.
Preston North End are a point behind in second place following a 1-0 win away to Rochdale. Gemma Watson netted the only goal of the game to hand Preston their fifth straight victory.
Sporting Club Albion moved up to third by scoring eight without reply against Leeds City Vixens. Robyn James and Ashleigh Neville each bagged doubles for Albion, with Kirstie Bavington, Jamie-Leigh Fowler, Natasha Baptiste and an own goal completing their tally.
Leicester City came out on top in an exciting East Midlands derby with a 4-1 victory over Derby County. They opened the scoring as early as the fifth minute when Issy Hayes scored from 25 yards. Leicester increased their lead on the hour as Shona Franklin fired home after Rachel Graham spilled a Katie Lowder effort. Natalie Reay made it three and, although Derby pulled one back in the 88th minute through Cara Newton, Reay grabbed her second with another powerful strike.
Manchester City made it three wins on the trot with a 4-0 success away to Rotherham Utd. Lindsay Savage put them in front two minutes before half time and Sarah Buffel struck twice after the break, with Abbie McManus also on target.
