Arsenal cruise into last sixteen

Arsenal won 10-0 on aggregate

Arsenal cruised into the last sixteen of the UEFA Women's Champions League with a 6-0 win over FC Bobruichanka.
After a routine four-goal win in the first leg, Arsenal boss Laura Harvey took the opportunity to blood some of the club's youth players but the Gunners continued at Boreham Wood exactly where they left off in Belarus.
The rout was started by Danielle Carter's first half brace before goals from Katie Chapman, Jennifer Beattie and Jordan Nobbs gave the English treble winners a 10-0 aggregate win.
Arsenal dominated from the first whistle and in the sixth minute White was found in the penalty area by a Nobbs cross but the striker's header sailed inches over crossbar. Minutes later White was clean through on goal again but this time her shot flashed inches wide of the far post.
But Arsenal would not be denied for long as Kim Little played in Carter on 12 minutes and the forward had time to pick her spot and bury a shot past Svetlana Novikova to open the scoring.
The English champions were now beginning to show their class but they didn't manage to double their advantage until the 30th minute when Carter once again found herself through on goal. She calmly finished past the onrushing Novikova for her second of the afternoon.
The Gunners trebled their advantage just before the break when Chapman headed home from Steph Houghton's cross.
The goals continued to flow in the second half and in the 57th minute Beattie profited from Carter's good work at the byline to fire the home side's fourth of the afternoon.
Minutes later Beattie powered home her second to make it 5-0 before Harvey started to ring the changes, giving young Welsh midfielder Angharad James, Melissa Lawley and Bianca Bragg their first taste of Champions League action.
Nobbs rounded off the scoring for the Gunners after firing past Novikova from eight yards to confirm Arsenal's place in the next round.
