Watford Ladies Football Club has announced the appointment of a new management team.
Following the departure of Manager Neil Hart and Assistant Sam Perrin last week, the Club is delighted to announce that John Salomon has been appointed the new First Team Manager and he will be assisted by Chris Thurston.
John Salomon has been promoted from Reserve Team manager meaning that in addition to the change in Senior Squad management, the reserve team will now be jointly managed by Carlan Edgar and Stuart Phillips.
After the positive result on Sunday against Coventry City where the club achieved a very creditable draw against the top of the table team it has been decided that John should remain in charge full time after taking a caretaker role for that fixture.
All those at the club wish to thank Neil and Sam for their hard work, time and effort they put in with the players and club.
Chairman Chris Crickitt went on to say: "At Watford Ladies FC, we consider ourselves very lucky that the support we receive from the Watford FC Community Sports and Education Trust means that our existing coaching staff can easily cope with changes like these.
"With the appointment of John Salomon as new first team Manager the team is in safe hands and I have every confidence in our talented players that they will discover the success on the pitch that has so far eluded them this season."
New manager John Salomon said he was delighted to have been given the opportunity to come in as first team manager: "We have a very talented group of players at Watford and we will now focus on using the result and performance we had against Coventry as a platform to starting building from. If we can continue to get the best out of our players then we will achieve our goals for the season."
