Swansea City have moved to the top of the Southern Conference in the Welsh Premier Women's League on goal difference following a 1-0 victory over UWIC.
Sarah Adams scored the only goal of the game, three minutes into the second half, to ensure that the Swans replaced the students as divisional leaders but things could hardly be tighter with the top three teams all level on points.
A win would have seen Caerphilly Castle take over top spot but they have to settle for second place after sharing a 2-2 draw with Newcastle Emlyn.
It was looking good for Caerphilly as Sarah Tannetta gave them a twelfth minute lead which was doubled just before the half hour via a Sharon Llewelyn own goal. However Newcastle Emlyn battled back after the break and two goals in a four minute spell from Clare Thomas and Josie Wingrave preserved their unbeaten record.
In the Northern Conference, there was also a change of leadership with Wrexham going top without kicking a ball. Previous leaders Aberystwyth Town went down to a 2-0 defeat away to Llanidloes Town, who secured the points through two second half penalties from Nia Davies.
The other scheduled fixtures between Caernarfon Town and Northop Hall was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at The Oval.
