A goal apiece from Nikita Parris and Jess Sigsworth got England Under-19s' season off to a solid start with a 2-0 victory against France.
After receiving a bye to the Second, and final, round of qualifiers for this season's UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship, Mo Marley has taken her side to Holland for two testing internationals against the French and the host nation.
Sigsworth ensured their European preparations began with a bang, scoring the opening goal after just nine minutes.
Amid a raft of second half substitutions, which allowed Marley an opportunity to give game time to as many players as possible, they had to wait until fourteen minutes before the end to secure the victory, with Everton forward Parris doing the damage.
Buoyed by this victory, England will now take on Holland on Thursday in the second friendly.
