Hope Powell was pleased with the three points following England's
2-0 win over Serbia at the Keepmoat Stadium.
However the England Head Coach admitted her side were not at their best despite cruising to a comfortable win over tidy but punchless opponents.
"We played well in patches, not to our best," she said. "We did dominate the game and should have scored more goals - again - but I am pleased with the points.
"They [Serbia] had two good chances, so credit to them, but Karen Bardsley made a great save [early on] and it really kept us in it at that point.
"There was a bit of relief when we scored. We knew that it was a 'must win' game so the first goal was really important.
"It's been a long year and it is good to have a break as the girls need one. We know what we've got to do in terms of qualifying and it's the games inbetween the Holland one that are the most important ones. We have to make sure we're in contention."
"We had more chances to score but we'll take a win at the end of the day," added England defender Sophie Bradley. "You can never settle at 2-0 and we remembered what happened last time we played them."
