Leah's double sends Leeds clear - 28 Nov 2011 - Women's Football NewsLeeds Utd stepped up their National Division title challenge with a 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic. 
With Sunderland not in action, Leeds were handed the opportunity to replace them at the top of the table and they got off to a flying start, Clare Sykes and Leah Galton putting them two ahead inside the opening six minutes. Galton wrapped up the win with her second goal, three minutes from time, to ensure that Leeds open up a lead of three points.
Aston Villa leapt up the table and into fourth place, thanks to a 1-0 win against Reading FC Women. Erin Vaughan settled matters with the only goal of the game, eight minutes into the second half.
After eleven games without a win, Watford celebrated their first victory of the season when they defeated Barnet 1-0. Sarah Wiltshire scored the all-important goal on the hour mark to give the Golden Girls the points and keep their survival hopes alive.
