Doncaster Rovers Belles are delighted to announce the signing of defender Leandra Little from Lincoln Ladies.
The ex-England basketball player came into football in 2007 and has been outstanding ever since for Lincoln as they chased promotion from the Northern Division of the Premier League. She is the Belles' second signing from Lincoln after Sue Smith, whose arrival was announced earlier in the week.
Belles assistant manager Paul Green is delighted Little has agreed to join the club and he said: "We are pleased to have been able to secure Lea for next season. She is a tall and athletic defender who will add height and strength to our back four. She is equally at home playing at centre back or right back.
"Defensively we need to improve from last season and feel that the acquisition of Lea is a good start towards doing that."
The talented 27-year-old defender went on to have an excellent first season for Lincoln in the FA Women's Super League, winning their 2011 Manager's Player of the Year Award.
Green added: "Lea is a good defender who performed consistently well last season and along with the likes of Sue Smith, will add some much needed experience to the squad for the forthcoming campaign."
