Wales are to compete once again in the annual Algarve Cup competition in Portugal next month.
Jarmo Matikainen's squad will be in action for four games between 29th February and 7th March in the nineteenth year of the competition that is often looked upon as an 'unofficial Women's World Cup'.
Wales will compete in Group C and take on hosts Portugal in the first game on 29th February, before playing Republic of Ireland two days later and finishing their group against Hungary on 5th March. There will then be a positional match against one of the teams from the other groups, which takes place on 7th March.
This is the eleventh time that Wales have been invited to play in the competition and they will hope to emulate last year's fine achievement of winning their group which also contained Portugal, Romania and Chile, before going on to lose to China in their positional match.
The matches form part of a busy 12-match season for the Wales senior women's team, who are in the middle of qualifying matches for the 2013 UEFA Women's Championships. Further matches will be played in April and June against France and Republic of Ireland, both away, and home to Israel.
