West Ham Utd took another potential step towards the Southern Division title with a 1-0 victory away to Queen's Park Rangers.
A tight London derby was settled in the 77th minute when Lindsey Morgan netted the only goal of the game, taking the Hammers to within one point of leaders Colchester Utd with one match left to play.
West Ham now have the same goal difference as Colchester but, having scored ten goals fewer, will need to win their final match against Brighton & Hove Albion in order to overhaul them and put pressure on Portsmouth, whose match at Gillingham was postponed.
The other match to survive the weather was the crucial bottom of the table clash between Millwall Lionesses and Keynsham Town and it was the Lionesses who won 2-0, leaving the Somerset side in desperate trouble.
Kasia Viggor netted both goals for Millwall, taking herself jointly top of the division's goalscoring charts in the process, to lift her side out of the bottom two at the expense of Queen's Park Rangers and Keynsham, who need to win both of their two remaining games to stand any chance of staying up.
