Wrexham opened up a six point lead at the top of the Northern Conference in the Welsh Premier Women's League with a 3-1 win away to Caernarfon Town. Lyndsey Rogers, Lexi Musgrove and Steph Taylor scored the goals to take Wrexham a step closer towards winning their section whilst Caernarfon, who have reached the Final in each of the previous two seasons, look set to miss out this time despite a consolation from Katie Williams. Meanwhile there was a change of leadership in the Southern Conference as an inactive Swansea City were overtaken by UWIC, who took over at the top courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Newcastle Emlyn. Emily Allen and Nadia Lawrence put the students two ahead by half time and although Amanda John pulled a goal back for Newcastle Emlyn fifteen minutes from time, Sophie Scherschel wrapped up the points for UWIC with the third goal. Trefelin came away from Caerphilly Castle with a 3-2 after having trailed at the interval. Natasha Harding put the home side in front with Jessica Wadey levelling, before Terri Thomas restored Caerphilly's lead two minutes before the break. Cath Walsh equalised midway through the second half and with five minutes left, Natalie Ashford settled matters in Trefelin's favour.
