Watford goalkeeper Lauren Davey has been called up to the England Under-23 squad to compete in the Four Nations La Manga Tournament later this month.
It is a fantastic achievement for Davey, who spent nearly a year out with a back injury last season. Having worked her way back to fitness she has again established herself as Watford's number one.
Her recent record has seen her concede only three goals in her last five appearances for Watford, which has coincided with an excellent run of form for the Golden Girls.
Watford centre back Shelby Hills has also been placed on standby for the England Under-23s.
Meanwhile, other players in the squad continue to be noticed on the international stage. After Wales manager Jarmo Matikainen attended Watford's home game against Aston Villa, Megan Wynne, Sarah Wiltshire and Leanne Jones were all called up to a recent Wales training camp.
