Coventry City came from behind to beat Sporting Club Albion 2-1 in their Premier League Cup group match at Bedworth on Wednesday night.
Before the game the teams held a minute's silence in memory of Peter Rippington, father of Albion captain Amy, who was the victim of a coach crash in France over the weekend.
Albion took the lead just before the half hour when Ashleigh Neville headed in from a corner and the Northern Division side remained in front going into the break.
After the break, Coventry drew level when Kerry Bartlett scored from the penalty spot after her initial shot had been blocked by a hand.
Bartlett then took her tally to three goals in two matches as she finished off from 15 yards following a good run and pass by Nicole Dale, giving the Sky Blues a winning start to their group.
