Rochdale took a huge stride towards safety in the Northern Division after coming from behind to beat Rotherham Utd 2-1.
After a goalless first half, Rotherham took the lead through leading scorer Amy Shaw but Dale were back on level terms two minutes later when Steph Bell equalised. With two minutes remaining, Sophie Riley grabbed the winning goal to give Dale a five point gap over their opponents, who have two games left to play.
It was also a good day for Queen's Park Rangers in the Southern Division as they climbed out of the bottom two by winning 3-1 at Plymouth Argyle.
Cherelle Albert gave Rangers a first half lead which was cancelled out by Tash Knapman, but goals either side of half time by Eartha Pond secured three vital points for Rangers who are one more win away from safety, but Plymouth have dropped to the bottom of the table on goal difference.
