Blackburn Rovers repeated their F.A.Women's Cup victory over Preston North End three days earlier and went top of Group One in the Premier League Cup.
Nic Forster scored twice with Danielle Sheen, Katie Anderton, Lizzie Ince and Keeleigh Savage also on the scoresheet as Rovers ran out 6-1 winners.
In Group Two, West Ham Utd went into second place when they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-0, goals coming from Becky Merritt and Rosey Sullivan. The Hammers are two points behind Barnet who beat Watford 1-0 thanks to Danielle Murphy.
Charlton Athletic are now five points clear in Group Four after goals from Cori Daniels and Emma Beckett gave them a 2-0 victory away to Gillingham (see match report).
There were plenty of goals on offer in Group Six where Rotherham Utd opened up with a 5-3 win against Derby County. Rotherham raced into a three-goal lead by the midway point in the first half thanks to goal from Kirsty Richardson, Beth Smith and Nat Shaw. Paige Crossman added the fourth before Michelle Kilmartin reduced the arrears just short of the interval. Derby made a fight of it after the break and narrowed the deficit to just one goal with Kilmartin and Melissa Johnson on target but Shaw's second goal wrapped up the points for Rotherham.
