England 0 France 3 (Necib 11, Delie 49, Thiney 80)
England's third game of the 2012 Cyprus Women's Cup ended in disappointment on Sunday afternoon, as they were on the end of a 3-0 scoreline against France in Larnaca.
After two wins from two games against Finland and Switzerland in their previous games, confidence was high going into this match and it was a day to remember for captain Casey Stoney, who collected her 100th cap for England. But aside from that, she would probably want to forget the match itself.
France took a first-half lead through Louisa Necib, before adding more goals after the break from Marie-Laure Delie and Gaetene Thiney to bring the group stage of this year's tournament to a disappointing end for Head Coach Hope Powell and her squad.
England will now play Italy on Tuesday to determine third and fourth place in the competition whilst France take on Canada in the Final.
England: Karen Bardsley, Alex Scott, Steph Houghton, Jill Scott, Laura Bassett, Casey Stoney, Karen Carney, Anita Asante (sub Fara Williams 45mins), Ellen White, Kelly Smith (sub Rachel Williams 57mins), Jess Clarke.
