Wales 2 (Lander 10,49) Hungary 1 (Vago 71)
Wales topped Group C in the Algarve Cup for the second year in a row after they defeated Hungary 2-1 in their final game.
Jarmo Matikainen's side needed a victory in order to confirm themselves as group winners and book their place in the 7th/8th place play-off, where they will take on Norway on Wednesday.
Rhian Nokes returned in goal with Hayley Ladd replacing Katie Sherwood in midfield and it was Wales who got off to a flying start with Helen Lander giving them a tenth minute lead.
Lander then doubled the advantage four minutes into the second half with her 22nd international goal and, despite Fanni Vago reducing the arrears for Hungary midway through the half, Wales held on for the result they required.
Wales: Rhian Nokes, Loren Dykes, Sophie Ingle, Kylie Davies, Jayne Ludlow, Hayley Ladd, Hannah Keryakoplis (sub Nia Jones 90mins), Michelle Green (sub Katie Sherwood 68mins), Helen Lander (sub Natasha Harding 81mins), Gwennan Harries, Jessica Fishlock (Amie Lea 61mins). Subs not used: Helen Bleazard, Nicola Davies, Kayleigh Green, Angharad James.
