Manchester City are having a good season in the Premier League and on Sunday, they have a plum home tie against Everton in the F.A.Women's Cup Fifth Round.
City currently sit on top of the Northern Division and manager Leigh Wood told Women's Soccer Scene that playing Everton will be a good opportunity for his side.
"After three good wins in the FA Women's Cup this season we are more than pleased to be playing Everton in the Fifth Round," he said. "It will give us a chance to really test ourselves against high quality oppostion in a competitive game and see how far we have come as a club.
"I say competitive game, as we played Everton a few weeks ago in what was a pre-season friendly for them before the start of the WSL season. It was a great experience for all of us and will stand us in good stead for Sunday's game.
"The players know to expect a team with good movement that moves the ball well and that will punish mistakes. We do however have good confidence going into the game after coming from behind to beat Preston last Sunday to go top of the league.
"The FA Cup always throws up a few surprises and if we show good concentration levels and are brave enough when in possession to get the ball down and play we feel that we can cause Everton a few problems, a bit of luck along the way and you never know."
City captain Lindsay Savage added: "You always hope to get a big team in the FA Cup. We go into the game with a lot of confidence - the team is improving and maturing all the time. We can't wait for the game."
