Saturday saw the FA Girls' Football Festival supported by Continental Tyres, Sport England and UEFA visit Aylesbury at Fairford Leys playing field.
More than 350 girls took part in the festival accompanied by International and FA Women's Super League (WSL) players Ellen White from Arsenal and Kerys Harrop from Birmingham City who met the girls, signed autographs and had their photos taken with participants.
Girls aged seven upwards from clubs from across the region and girls playing for the first time, took part in the free training day led by FA coaches aimed at encouraging girls to get involved in the game. Activities included interactive games and competitions, the ContiWarmUp programme, skills and drills with FA approved coaches and prizes and goodies for all.
Ellen White said: "As players we were delighted to see how many girls and their families came to participate in today's event. It goes to show the huge level of interest in the sport from a young age.
"I am certain, given the skill and determination of many of these girls they will stay in the game for a long time."
Tim Bailey, Communications Manager at Continental Tyres said 'It was fantastic to be able to bring The FA Girls' Football Festival to Aylesbury for the first time and great to have so many girls taking part. I very much look forward to continued success at the remaining festivals this season.'
