Glasgow City have taken over the leadership of the Scottish Women's Premier League on goal difference after a 9-0 victory over newly promoted Aberdeen.
Jane Ross led the scoring for City with a hat-trick while Joanne Love and Lisa Evans each weighed in with doubles. Julie Melrose and Ciara Barnes completed the tally by netting a goal apiece.
Hibernian lie in second after they scored eight without reply away to Hutchison Vale. Seven different players got on the scoresheet for Hibs, Kirsty McLaughlin scoring twice along with Frankie Brown, Lisa Robertson, Joelle Murray, Hollie Thomson, Rebecca Zoltie and Kirsty Smith.
Spartans had started the day as leaders but they went down to a 3-0 defeat at Celtic, who duly complete a trio of clubs on six points following the first two games. Suzanne Grant bagged a double for the Ghirls, with Hayley Cunningham also on target.
Jen Callaghan scored a hat-trick as Rangers bounced back from their opening day reverse to run out 6-1 winners away to Inverness City. Lucy Clark added a brace and Jennifer Condie rounded off the scoring.
Forfar Farmington also registered their first points of the season with a 3-1 success over Falkirk. Caroline Heron and Emma McCulley ensured that Forfar led by two goals at the break and Heron netted a second, before Lisa Sutherland grabbed a late consolation for Falkirk.
