Nikita hands England winning start
 Women's Football News 1 Apr 2012
A second half goal from Everton's Nikita Parris gave England a winning start to their final round of UEFA Under-19 Championships qualifiers.
Mo Marley's side hosted Finland at Scunthorpe United's Glanford Park and totally dominated proceedings throughout, registering over 20 shots at goal.
They had to wait until just after the hour mark for the only goal of the game, though, and it came from Parris - her ninth goal in ten Under-19 appearances.
Next up for England are group leaders Wales at Lincoln City's Sincil Bank on Monday evening, followed by Austria at Blundell Park on Thursday.
England Under-19: Mary Earps, Lara Fay, Jaz Matthews, Sherry McCue, Meaghan Sargeant, Alex Greenwood, Melissa Lawley, Danielle Carter, Nikita Parris, Jess Sigsworth, Kasia Lipka (sub Lizzie Ince 90mins). Subs not used: Keira Ramshaw, Fliss Gibbons, Megan Walsh, Rebecca Anderson, Annabel Johnson, Beth England.
