Nottingham Forest's survival hopes in the National Division remain in the balance after they went down to a 2-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa.
Dani Petrovic gave Villa a fifth minute lead and Carly Davies netted a decisive second during the second half. Amber Hughes reduced the arrears for the home side in the dying minutes but Forest - who were runners-up last season - remain at the foot of the table and are four points from safety, with three matches left to play.
Two teams involved in the battle for a top three place met each other and honours were shared as Coventry City and Barnet fought out a 1-1 draw. The two sides had met seven days earlier in the Premier League Cup with the Sky Blues winning 1-0 but this time it took only three minutes for Barnet to go in front through Vicky Boardman. Helen Dermody levelled the scores just after the half hour and, with no further goals, the point takes Barnet above Charlton Athletic into third but they have now completed their fixtures. Coventry, who are one point behind, and Aston Villa can still overhaul them by winning their remaining matches.
