Manchester City are just one point away from winning the Northern Division title following their 4-0 victory away to Preston North End.
Krystle Johnston netted twice for the Champions elect and the other goals came from Sarah Buffel and Carly Bayley.
Leicester City's promotion challenge has come to an end after they drew 1-1 with Rochdale, who preserved their Premier League status with the point. A fierce drive on 20 minutes by Natalie Reay, after good work by Natalie Johnson, put the Foxes in front but Dale got themselves back into the game and scored a crucial goal just before half time when a Sophie Riley free kick was deflected into the net by Alyson Hastie.
Only two teams can now catch Manchester City's points total, Sheffield FC and Blackburn Rovers who kept their hopes alive with an 11-1 victory over Leeds City Vixens. Danielle Sheen had a great day in front of goal, netting five times in total, whilst Katie Anderton weighed in with a brace. Nichol Forster, Hannah Forster, Beth Donoghue and Lagan Makin completed the scoring for the Lancashire side.
Rotherham Utd battled out a 2-2 draw with Sporting Club Albion but the point was not enough for the Yorkshire side to avoid relegation. Stacey Aisthorpe and Katie Hemming netted either side of half time for Rotherham whilst Albion replied through Emily Owen and Amy Rippington.
