Leicester City lifted the Leicestershire & Rutland County Women's Cup for the seventh consecutive season by beating Loughborough Foxes 1-0 at Holmes Park in a hard fought game.
City had some chanches early on when skipper Sammy Morris' header was well saved by keeper Amy Burle from a Natalie Reay corner, then a Vicky Gallagher effort was saved again by Burle.
Loughborough's Rosch Shakes was causing city some problem's with her pace and power and had a shot that was well saved by City keeper Nicola Van De Weerdhof.
Within four minutes of the second period, Issy Hayes latched on to a through ball by Jade Radburn to fire home to break the deadlock. Loughborough quickly replied when a Row Davies effort was pushed around the post by City's Van De Werdhof.
The game was becoming a very tight affair with both defences on top and City creating the better chances but just the one goal separated the sides at the end.
