Chester FC are proud to announce the appointment of Will Rowlands as the manager of their newly formed ladies side.
The side, which will play open age football, will look to develop local playing and coaching talent over the coming years, and will look to expand in the future.
"We are delighted that Will has agreed to join us. We were looking to assemble a ladies section that will attract and develop talent in both players and coaches over the coming seasons, and see Will as a major part of our achieving that. His experience in youth and ladies football, coupled with his qualifications and previous roles in football development made him the obvious choice," stated Mark Howell, Chester FC Community Football Officer.
The club is expecting to apply to join the Cheshire County Women's Football League following initial discussions with the Cheshire FA. "We are looking forward to starting the season in whatever league we are placed in. We will be looking to hold open trials in the close season, and will be looking to work with local schools moving forward in promoting ladies football to their pupils as a great form of exercise," Howell continued.
Will is excited at becoming part of the Chester FC family, "I am delighted to be joining Chester FC with the responsibility of developing the ladies section of the club," he said. "We hope that female footballers of the city will be excited by this development and will look to be part of a forward thinking, fresh focused and community orientated club."
