Leaders notch up large wins
 Women's Football News 4 Jun 2012

Leaders notch up large wins - 4 Jun 2012 - Women's Football NewsThere was no change at the top of the Scottish Women's Premier League on Sunday after all of the top four recorded convincing victories.

This was led by leaders Glasgow City who scored fifteen without reply past Hutchison Vale to record their ninth straight win. Leanne Ross and Emma Mitchell each netted four times and Lisa Evans weighed in with a hat-trick, while Ciara Barnes (2), Joanne Love and Jane Ross completed the tally.

Hibernian continued their pursuit of leaders City by running out 4-1 winners away to Rangers. Laura Kennedy was on target twice for Hibs along with Claire Emslie and Caroline Weir, with Lucy Clark replying for the home side.

Suzanne Grant netted a brace as Celtic maintained third place by beating Aberdeen 6-1. Fiona Brown, Hayley Cunningham, Heather Richards and Lauren MacMillan all weighed in with a goal apiece, Aberdeen's consolation coming from Rebecca Dempster.

Forfar Farmington meanwhile got back in winning ways and in style with an 8-0 success against Inverness City. Emma McCulley and Lucy Graham both had good days in front of goal as they each bagged hat-tricks, with Nicky Grant and Julia Scott also on the scoresheet.

Spartans put the disappointment of their Premier League Cup Final defeat in midweek behind them to run out 5-0 winners over FC Kilmarnock. Lana Clelland led the scoring with a double and there was one apiece from Diana Barry, Molly McKean and Louise Moultray.

Honours were shared in the other league game as Hamilton Academicals drew for the fifth time this season, sharing a 3-3 scoreline with Falkirk. Megan Walker, Carolina Richardson and an own goal accounted for the Accies' strikes whilst Emma Lyons hit a hat-trick in reply for Falkirk.
