Jordan Nobbs admitted that Arsenal gave one of their best displays of the season when they defeated Bristol Academy 3-0 in the FA WSL.
Although the Gunners have won four of their five league matches so far, they have been through a slightly indifferent run of form and results overall and Jordan told Women's Soccer Scene after the game: "I think it was one of our better performances.
"There have been a few that we haven't been happy with but we're still Arsenal, we're still hard to beat and we are delighted with the way we played.
"We knew we had to come out a bit stronger than we had been and I think that showed right away. Bristol were going to come at us [in the second half] and they did show that for a little spell but we played well and were rewarded with the third goal."
Jordan herself played a role up front and scored the second goal shortly before half time. "I think I could have got a few more," she smiled, "but I'm happy with the one I did score. Hopefully there'll be more to come."
After going into the game with only one win in four domestic matches, the inevitable rumours about Arsenal's decline started up once again but Jordan insisted that they only served to spur them on. "We know we needed a game like this and it will boost our confidence but we started out well and playing like we used to," she said.
"Sometimes you can't win game after game and you have your little bad spells, but you still have to show that you can win games and we showed that.
"We just look at our own performances and not other teams and if we look for ours to be good, then we'll do well."
