City make new appointments
 Women's Football News 27 Jun 2012

With pre-season not far away, Manchester City are delighted to announce that they have made two new appointments for Reserve team manager and Development Squad Manager and assistant.

Due to work commitments, City say goodbye to outgoing manager Luke Ogilvie and wish him all the best for the future.

Taking up the reins of the Reserve team will be Angela Willoughby, who previously was the manager of Rochdale in the Northern Division and steered them to another season in the league with games to spare.

In charge of the Development Squad, now in their second year, is former Rochdale defender Claire Harrop who will be assisted by Mark Chrisofos who moves up from City's youth section.

First team manager Leigh Wood commented: "I'm delighted to welcome both Ang and Claire to Manchester City Ladies. They bring a great wealth of knowledge and experience of the women's game with them, which we hope will help the club in its quest to keep moving forward both on and off the pitch. I'm looking forward to having a good working relationship with both, in what we hope will be another successful season for Manchester City Ladies."

Meanwhile Herbalife representative Lucy Bendall, based in Norwich, has been in touch with Manchester City Ladies over the summer months about how her and Herbalife can help the club with their nutritional needs when they play in the National Division for the first time during 2012-13.

Herbalife's products from the Herbalife 24 range work fantastically well with players and athletes bodies. As it is the sports products which the Ladies have been offered assistance with during the season, they have the opportunity to use the complete range from the Formula 1 sport protein shakes, through to hydration and muscle repair. Also, their core products can improve energy levels and improve inner health.

They work with athletes across all sporting worlds, in particular working with LA Galaxy, Barcelona and on a more local scale, Reading. While still having to purchase the products the Ladies will be able to do so at a preferential rate.

Herbalife representative Lucy Bendall commented: "I am very pleased to be supporting Manchester City Ladies as their pre-season training starts and looking on to the 2012-13 season. I will happily work with the ladies on their nutrition on a day-to-day and general basis, looking at placing products in their diets and training to aid their general health and wellbeing. I am offering preferential rates to Manchester City Ladies as I am keen to help push the team to the next tier in the football standings. Individually the fitness levels will improve, therefore their focus and concentration levels will increase which will have a positive knock on effect with results."
