Aldershot moving forward
 Women's Football News 15 Jul 2012

Aldershot moving forward - 15 Jul 2012 - Women's Football NewsBuilding on their Chairman's Cup success last season, Aldershot Town Ladies have been working hard to make some much needed improvements to their set up.

The club is pleased to announce the formation of a Reserve team squad for the forthcoming season, of whom will compete in the Hampshire County Women's League in Division Two. This change allows our Reserve squad to play competitive matches at Farnborough Gate, a ground that has been the home of Aldershot Town Ladies for several seasons and the First Team now have a new home in Cody Sports & Social Club which will provide a much needed barriered floodlit pitch which achieves the standard under FA tier 7.

Along with having a new home ground we have also secured a number of sponsorship deals in key areas of the set up, and also implemented a new coaching team for both squads which will provide quality coaching for our players from UEFA Licensed coaches in which training has now been increased to two training sessions per week. Along with stregthening our coaching team we have also strengthened our backroom team which includes the appointment of UEFA A Licence Vic Harry as Head of Football.

The Ladies have been working hard with parent club Aldershot Town Football Club and the Ladies will now compete in all official club wear and are in a position to offer some unique benefits to our players, supporters and sponsors as well as having use of all the facilities at the EBB Stadium. We are also looking to implement some grassroots Girls sides and take part in an Elite Female Development Programme over the next 12 months of which all these benefits will be available to all of our squads.

We are still looking to add additional players to our First & Reserve team squads, if Aldershot Town Ladies are of interest to you please contact rsalmon.atlfc@hotmail.co.uk.
